Part-time Sports Performance Coach

We are looking for A dedicated Sports Performance Coach with strong leadership and motivational skills to join our team. You will work closely with the Director of Sports Performance, playing an essential role in training CFSC high-performance teams. Our mission is to develop and empower players through customized training plans that support their growth both on and off the field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Sports Performance to deliver the Winter Sports Performance program for CFSC high-performance teams
  • Assist in building and maintaining a strong culture within the CFSC Sports Performance Department
  • Lead endurance programs, strength clinics, and other fitness programs (continuing education encouraged)
  • Guide players on various health and fitness topics to support their long-term well-being
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the weight room area
  • Track attendance and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all athletes

Key Requirements:

  • Training Certification (e.g., NASM, ISSA, CFL1, USAW, WSBB)
  • Preferred: NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • Education: Degree in a related field (e.g., exercise science, exercise physiology)

Additional Expectations:

  • Attend weekly coaching education meetings
  • Contribute to individual projects and new program development
  • Potential to earn extra income through additional programs

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your primary role as a coach is to provide an energetic, progressive, and structured environment that supports player growth within the various components of the sport. The goal of our competitive platform is to deliver an unparalleled coaching experience to our customers regardless of age or ability level. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Session planning and design.
  • Function within a coaching staff, potentially across different competitive platforms.
  • Lead or assist 45–60 minute age-appropriate training sessions with energy, positivity, and inclusiveness.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Provide positive feedback, coaching tips and words of encouragement to players.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be an energetic, passionate, self-motivated, and committed to the development of youth soccer players.
  • At least a high school graduate.
  • Soccer background - preferably high school or collegiate.
  • Available weeknights, and Saturday & Sunday mornings.
  • Work patiently with children.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willing to complete a background check.

PAY & BENEFITS

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 starting hourly rate. Negotiable based on experience, and coaching qualifications.

The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way. U.S. Soccer believes education is a journey, and our goal is to provide the necessary tools, guidance, and mentorship a coach requires.
